Eynsham Parish Council is aware that our community is often impacted by local issues that fall outside the responsibility of the Parish Council. There are also strong opinions locally on projects or problems that impact communities across the county.
We’d encourage residents to have their say on these issues with the bodies responsible – West Oxfordshire District Council and Oxfordshire County Council – via their various engagement channels.
West Oxfordshire District Council has a Digital Engagement Hub: Citizen engagement platform | West Oxfordshire District Council (westoxon.gov.uk) This webpage details all the current consultations and engagement opportunities, such as online surveys or in-person focus groups.
Oxfordshire County Council has a website called Let’s Talk Oxfordshire: https://letstalk.oxfordshire.gov.uk/ This is a portal by which residents can share their views on different proposals that affect them and our community. For example, a recent survey was focused on SEND support in the county.
All levels of local governance work hard to reach out to residents and communities to understand local need and direct key decisions accordingly. Councils can only work well for local people if they understand the local communities. We’d always advise residents to get involved via whatever channel best suits to hopefully drive for the changes they would like to see.
If you’d like to contact the Parish Council with any concerns or questions, please email epc.comms@eynsham-pc.gov.uk. Our Councillors and staff will review and respond as appropriate.
