Eynsham Play and Activity Day 2024 28 May 2024 OPA’s popular, free activity day returns

Eynsham Parish Council is pleased to be welcoming back the ever-popular Eynsham Play and Activity Day to the village on Friday 26 July.

Each year, Oxfordshire Play Association organises and runs free Play and Activity Days across the county to provide a fun day out for children and their families. Each event has a whole range of free activities for all ages and they prove to be very popular with families during the summer holidays.

On 26 July, OPA will be back in Eynsham for a Play and Activity Day from 11am until 3pm at Oxford Road Playing Field (South). Entrance is free, as are all the activities available including a climbing wall, a Go Kart Party, arts and crafts, vehicle rides, face painting and giant bubbles, to name just a few. There will be activities suitable for a range of ages, from toddlers to teenagers.

Martin Gillett, Manager of OPA, told us “we are thrilled to be coming back to Eynsham in 2024 to deliver our annual, FREE, Playday event. This has become quite a fixture in the local calendar and we hope this years’ Playday will be just as fun, informative, well attended and playful as our previous events!”

Unfortunately, there will be extremely limited parking on site during this day, so we’d encourage anyone attending to use the buses and/or walk or cycle to the play area. Food and refreshments will be available to buy, or you are welcome to bring your own picnic.

Visit the OPA website at www.oxonplay.org.uk to find out more about this local charity and the great work they do all year round to champion and support the rights of children and young people to have access to high quality, inclusive play opportunities.

We hope many of our local families will be able to attend the event and enjoy what is always a super day! Good weather can’t be guaranteed – but fun can.
