Eynsham Parish Council News

Never a Dull Moment 13 May 2015 If you would like to get more involved in decisions that affect the village, why not join the Parish Council?

If you would like to get more involved in decisions that affect the village, why not join the Parish Council? asks Chairman Gordon Beach.

“The Council is active in a range of issues and projects, including planning, playgrounds, local footpaths, recreation and sports facilities and traffic.

“The Council has 15 members but, following the recent elections, it has some vacancies which we are keen to fill as soon as possible.

“To be eligible to join, you need to be at least 18 years old and to have lived or worked in Eynsham for at least the last 12 months. It is a voluntary position but can be very rewarding.

“In addition to the main meeting - usually on the first Tuesday of the month in the Bartholomew Room - you will also serve on two or three of the committees which manage current / future projects.

“If you’d like to find out more, please come along to one of our meetings: a typical session might range over access to Council buildings; bus shelter upgrades; and Eynsham Neighbourhood Plan.

“Or have a word with any of the Councillors or the Clerk. Or drop me an email or call me on 01865 880979. I look forward to hearing from you.”
