Eynsham Parish Council News

Road closures in June 20 May 2022 Advanced warning of some temporary closures in and around our parish during June.

The Parish Council has been advised of some temporary road and footpath closures that could impact our residents during June.

A section of Oxford Road, near to the Toll Bridge, will be closed on 2 June from 9.30am until 4pm to allow tree felling to be carried out. Traffic will be able to use the road during the rush-hour periods. The diversion route during the closure is detailed in the PDF at the bottom of this page.

A short section of Freeland Road is to be closed from 6 to 10 June for Thames Water to install a water main for the new development in the area. Access will only be available for emergency vehicles or for frontages within the area. The diversion route is detailed in the PDF at the bottom of this page.

A section of the footpath that runs between The Talbot Inn and the Siemens Magnet Technology factory (along Wharf Stream Way) has been closed since 3 May and will remain closed until 24 June. This is to allow safety testing to be carried out in the factory, with the closure in place 24 hours a day during this period. An image of the area to be closed is indicated in the gallery below. The operators of the factory, Siemens Healthineers, have apologised for any inconvenience this may cause.

We will keep you updated if the plans for these scheduled works changes.
