Eynsham Parish Council News

Road and footpath closures in May 22 Apr 2022 The month will see some closure of roads and footpaths to allow critical work to be carried out.

The Parish Council has been advised of two temporary road/footpath closures that could impact our residents during May.

A section of the footpath that runs between The Talbot Inn and the Siemens Magnet Technology factory, along Wharf Stream Way, will be closed from 3 May until 24 June to allow safety testing to be carried out in the factory. The closure will be in place 24 hours during this period. An image of the area to be closed is indicated in the gallery below. The operators of the factory, Siemens Healthineers, have apologised for any inconvenience this may cause.

The greater inconvenience will likely be caused by the closure of a section of Oxford Road, near to the Toll Bridge, on 19 May and 1 June. This is to allow tree felling to be carried out, with the closure in place from 9.30am until 4pm each day; traffic will be able to use the road during the rush-hour periods.

A map detailing the section of road to be closed and the location of diversion routes can be viewed via the PDF document at the bottom of the page.

We will keep you updated if the plans for these scheduled works changes over the coming weeks.
