Demo day for EV chargers 19 Apr 2022 Find out more about the new electric vehicle chargers at a demo day at the end April

Anyone who has recently visited Back Lane car park in Eynsham will have spotted that the new electric vehicle chargers are now installed and ready for use. To help the community understand how to use the chargers – or be tempted to upgrade to an electric vehicle – there is a demo day planned for Thursday 28 April.

The twelve new charge points have been installed in our village courtesy of the District Council’s ‘Park and Charge’ scheme, which aims to remove some of the barriers that prevent drivers from switching to electric vehicles. Having publicly accessible chargers helps residents without their own driveway as well as serving electric vehicles travelling around the county.

Now the chargers are live, Oxfordshire Park and Charge Team and EZ-Charge (the company who creates the charge points) will be hosting a demo afternoon from 2pm-5pm on Thursday 28 April at Back Lane car park. This is a great opportunity to get any questions answered, as electric vehicle experts and drivers will be joined by the EZ-Charge team. They will be bringing a range of electric vehicles to showcase the different prices available in today’s market.

If you already own an electric vehicle, it’s still worth stopping by. The first ten people to use the charging points during the session will be able to do so for free.
