Eynsham Parish Council News

What issues matter to you in Eynsham? 18 Feb 2022 A community event for residents to tell the Parish Council what matters most in our neighbourhood

The Parish Council is in the process of updating the 2018 Neighbourhood Plan and, with the support of Community First Oxfordshire, is hosting a community event to hear from residents on their vision for the area.

This event, which will take place at the Village Hall from 9.30am until 1pm on Saturday 26 March, will introduce the concept of the Neighbourhood Plan (short presentations at 9.30 and 11.30am) and provide a space for residents to express their views on what should be in it.

A Neighbourhood Plan is an opportunity for a community to shape the future of their area. The final document will set out policies to direct development, planning and growth. Parish Councils nationwide develop these plans alongside residents to ensure the issues that are most pressing for the community are being tackled.

We would encourage all residents to join the event and help direct the update of this key document. Outside of the presentation times, the event is a ‘drop-in’ format, with Parish Councillors and Community First Oxfordshire staff on hand to chat.

Eynsham has a thriving, proactive resident community with strong feelings about the issues impacting the Parish. The Parish Council is keen to capture these views and update the Neighbourhood Plan in line with the concerns and desires of the people who make Eynsham the place it is.
