Get ready to see Eynsham light up 26 Nov 2021 Join the Eynsham Community Primary School PTA for ‘Light Up Eynsham’ on 3 December

We know Christmas is well and truly on its way when the Eynsham festive lights are switched on – and there’s not long to wait! Eynsham Community Primary School PTA is hosting an event in Market Square on Friday 3 December for the great reveal of the new lights and to celebrate the coming festivities as a community.

The evening event, which will run from 5.30pm to 7pm, will involve the unveiling of the new light display (funded and installed by the Parish Council) after a collective countdown at 6pm. There will also be a host of other festive activities. Attendees can enjoy carols and songs around the tree in Market Square and a Christmas tree festival in St Leonard’s Hall. There will also be a special visit from Father Christmas (arranged by The Rotary Club of Eynsham) and a performance by the inimitable Eynsham Morris.

For edible treats, choose from mulled wine, hot chocolate and mince pies. For something more substantial, there will be a festive bar and a hot dog BBQ, courtesy of Stuart from the Jolly Sportsman.

While there will be no lantern parade this year, attendees are encouraged to still bring lanterns along for a magical atmosphere – and dress as festive as you like!

All proceeds from the event will support Eynsham Community Primary School PTA to fund resources for their students. Congratulations to everyone involved for their hard work arranging what promises to be a magical evening for the community. We hope to see you there!
