The Great Big Green Week Needs You! 28 Jun 2021 Get involved in a massive national event to celebrate our great green endeavours

Eynsham's Great Big Green Week - taking place from 18-26 September 2021 - is looking for community groups, individuals, families, schools, and groups of friends and neighbours to help celebrate our village's great green endeavours, and inspire others to do more. The week forms a part of a national Great Big Green Week in the lead up to this year's UN Summit on Climate Change (COP26) and will show our leaders how much we care.

There will be events, demos, workshops, exhibits, talks, performances, and trails around the village, as well as entertainment, food and stalls showcasing things we can do to help build a better future for our planet. We also hope to host demos of electric vehicles and eBikes.

Perhaps you could:

  • Decorate your window?
  • Explain your green home & tech?
  • Show off your allotment?
  • Start an art trail?
  • Stage a themed performance or open mic?
  • Cook up a storm?
  • Run a workshop?
  • Design a treasure hunt?
  • Beat the bunting record?
  • Upcycle something?
  • Tell us about local wildlife?
  • Imagine Eynsham in 2030?
  • Co-ordinate some games?
  • Create some music?
  • Share your favourite walks and bike routes?
  • Write a poem?
  • Make a celebration book?
  • Film a video?
  • Sing and dance?
  • Create a collage?
  • Pledge to do more?

If you - or your group - have any other ideas, or would like to get involved or make a contribution, please get in touch with Sue Raikes at biggreenweekeynsham@gmail.com
