Local author Nick Page was interviewed this morning about his book Christmas Traditions, Truth and Total Baubles and the origins of Christmas traditions in Sunday's morning service, the first to be livestreamed from St Leonard's. Did you know that the Christmas tree comes from a festival of taking a fir tree around publicly on December 24, decorated with representations of apples, to represent the tree in the garden of Eden from which Eve ate the apple?
