We had our first Green Woodworking session on the 15th August. Led by David Knight, Peace Oak Member and leading light of the Oxfordshire Bodgers, it is intended that this will be the first of many such events.
Taking place in the wooded area , now renamed the "Bodger Sett" there were two sessions in the day that saw the hewing of spatulas from lengths of willow.
Participants were instructed in the proper (and safe) use of the axes and craft knives that were their tools for the day and no serious injuries were reported.
All participants thoroughly enjoyed the day and David is to be congratulated on the professionalism of his teaching and the breadth of his knowledge.
A further session is now scheduled for the 6th September (bookable via Kate Shaw)
