The Evenlode opens 7 new bedrooms 9 Feb 2020 The Evenlode is delighted to announce the opening of seven new, boutique en-suite bedrooms.

Eynsham village pub, The Evenlode, situated just outside Oxford near Witney, is delighted to announce the opening of seven new, boutique en-suite bedrooms. The new bedrooms mark the second phase of a £1.2 million renovation project for this much-loved iconic British pub by current owners, Prospect Pubs & Bars Ltd. A further 17 bedrooms are planned in the final phase of the pub’s redevelopment, with completion hoped for by the end of 2021.

Ideally located close to the A40, The Evenlode is the perfect stopover for visitors to Oxfordshire and the surrounding villages. Within close proximity to the popular tourist destinations of Blenheim Palace and Bicester Village, and with easy access to the M40 and associated transport links, the new rooms are aimed at both business and leisure guests, each of which will also benefit from the pub’s excellent menu and range of drinks on offer.

Paying homage to the local area and its scholarly institutions, each room is named after a famous Oxford University College. From “Magdalen” which housed the decadent playwright Oscar Wilde, to “Balliol”, boasting noteworthy alumni from Aldous Huxley to current PM, Boris Johnson.

Decorated in classic country estate colours with sumptuous soft furnishings, each room centres around a backdrop of characterful artwork which include large black and white murals of famous University landmarks and colourful depictions of local flora and fauna.

All of the rooms include en-suite shower rooms, complete with an array of luxury smellies, along with a Nespresso coffee machine and a mini haul of goodies for midnight munchies. Classic double rooms start from as little as £70 per night B&B, whilst the larger superior rooms, which include king-sized beds and a more spacious bathroom, start from just £80 B&B.
