OPEN DAY 2010: the slideshow has new images – click on the link above.
Eynsham Croquet Club was formed in 1996 and played Golf Croquet on a public playing field in Eynsham. In 2004 there was the opportunity to join Eynsham Cricket Club and lease approximately 2 acres that could be dedicated to croquet. Read detailed plans >> Two full-sized courts were professionally laid using the latest techniques including laser levelling. Two more full-sized courts have been recovered from the original field and are currently used as 4 half-sized courts.
In addition to the play areas, the Club facilities include secure accommodation for playing equipment, hoops, balls, mallets etc. and the essentials for maintenance. We are fortunate that the Cricket Club allows us access to their Club House and facilities.
If you have not tried croquet before come along and try Golf Croquet. The game is very sociable, easy to learn and can be enjoyed by all abilities. Within the Club the game is played in social sessions but can be progressed through League to National level. For those with the basic skills and the desire to try the more complex game of Association Croquet all facilities are available. Whether your interest is Golf or Association Croquet, courses at all levels are available.
The club is based at School Piece Field, Cassington Road, Eynsham and is easily reached from the A40.
