Oxfordshire Cotswolds Garden Village
Public Exhibition (includes work by Eynsham residents and groups)
Saturday, 18 May, 11.30am -3.30pm
Eynsham Scout Hall, Back Lane, Eynsham, Witney OX29 4QP
The adoption of WODC's Local Plan last year means that the Garden Village development is going ahead. Therefore, several community groups - EPIC, GreenTEA, Eynsham Society and Peace Oak - have been very busy for many months trying to shape Grosvenor's and WODC's proposals in order to ensure the best possible development of the Garden Village in terms of:
-
Successful place-making and creative design
-
Genuinely affordable housing
-
Low impact on the planet
-
Biodiversity
This week these groups and other Eynsham residents will be attending masterplanning workshops at Witney Lakes. Work in progress from these workshops will be on display at the exhibition on Saturday at the Scout Hall.
Both Grosvenor and WODC claim they have been listening to the voices of our community in these emerging proposals, so please come along to the exhibition and check out if they actually have! And tell them if they haven’t and what you want that will be best for Eynsham and the new village.
