The vicar gave thanks to God for the gift of this land "for the benefit of this church, our benefice (which includes the church and parish of St Peter's Cassington) and this community."
He noted the role of the Barnabas Fund whose loan made the initial negotiations possible and the wonderfully generous giving of the church.
He led those present in prayer that "God would set aside the land for his kingdom purposes for the blessing of the church and all in this community" (of Eynsham and Cassington).
