Heading into Autumn 28 Sep 2017 Update from the Eynsham NH Police Team

Following our re-organisation we are now into the "swing of things" with Helen and Sandra being as busy as ever on the Eynsham Area.

Over the summer months they have taken part in a vareity of Community Events where they have been providing crime prevention advice and sign ups to Thames Valley Alert.

Following a series of burglaries in Cassington at the start of the summer Helen has been working with Cassington residents and the Parish Council to set up a Neighbourhood Watch Scheme and to help residents mark their property.

Sandra has been continuing her work with schools around road safety, cycling proficiency and being safe.

Unfortunatley due to other work commitments we have been unable to organise our MacMillan Coffee Morning for September as we usually would.  All is not lost however as we have arranged to do it on the 20th October 2017 - this means we can all probably attend 2 coffee mornings for this great cause this Autumn - look out for more details on local notice boards.

In October we will be trying to gently raise awareness of burglary on the area.  When the clocks go back and houses are in darkness for longer this is often a perfect scenario for opportunist thieves to commit offences.  It is always worth taking 5 minutes over a cup of tea to think about the security of your home - is there any small change that you can make to help be less appealing to a thief.

Our next Neighbourhood Action Group meeting will be on the 13th November 2017, should you wish to come along and see if you can help then please contact Ron Hollis - he email is on the "About" section of our entry.

As always - to contact the Eynsham Neighbourhood Team please call 101 or email eynshamneighbourhood@thamesvalley.pnn.police.uk.
