A revised flood map for Eynsham shows some areas at reduced risk, and some removed altogether.
The Environment Agency has produced a new Flood Map, based on improved modelling and mapping techniques, plus more accurate and up to date information on river flow and ground height.
This has resulted in changes to the areas at risk from flooding. The most significant change around Eynsham is at Siemens, where flood risk is partly reduced and partly removed altogether.
A snapshot map showing the changes in likelihood of flooding is attached below.
The online map, which is updated quarterly, reflects the new outlines from 22 February.
KEY dark blue - flooding from rivers (unchanged); light blue - extent of extreme flood (unchanged); green - removed from flood map; yellow - reduced flood risk.
NOTE the Flood Map shows areas at risk of flooding from rivers: it does not show flooding from other sources, such as surface water.
