Eynsham Carnival returns Saturday 6th July 2019!
Bunting goes up the week before, but with the high sided traffic not all streets can be decorated. So this year we’d like to challenge Eynsham to join in, please decorate your houses and make the village a riot of colour!
We're looking forward to an extraordinary day. See you in the square for 11am, when the traffic will stop, and the Morris dancing begins followed by the shirt race.
The parade then follows, with often quirky & topically themed floats cruising along the streets, ending up at the Queen Elizabeth playing field on Oxford road.
The field is then the focus for the rest of the day, buzzing with with live entertainment, music, craft fair, tug of war, funfair, bar & various food stalls. Acts this year will include some highly skilled fire performers, award winning circus entertainer Jason Maverick and the bleating marvellous mobile Sheep Show!
K9 Playtime Academy Dog Show will also run (providing it’s not too hot). If your dog has the waggiest tail or is a whizz at party tricks then bring them along to perform on Carnival day! £
5 on the door/£4 advance/£3 children & concessions. Under 5’s & carers free. Tickets available in advance in Eynsham from Evenlode DIY, Post Office & Eynsham Cellars.
