I shall be retiring from work as a partner in General Practice in Eynsham Medical Group at the end of September 2018. It has been my great privilege to serve this community as a Family Doctor since 1990 and I have greatly enjoyed my career which has been both challenging and rewarding. I feel fortunate to have practised in an era when the life of a GP has very much been that of a generalist working in the community to care for patients of all ages and from all backgrounds. The personal rapport of the doctor/patient relationship throughout a long period of time has also been a key part of my professional life and I have appreciated those many patients and families who have allowed me to be their doctor and share with them many of life's important moments whether joyous or challenging. It is sad for me to leave the practice which is composed of such a wonderful team of colleagues and I, like many patients, have been so well supported by so many members of the team over the last 28 years. I have particularly valued my GP Partners and our practice, nursing and dispensary managers and I believe that Eynsham Medical Group has a very strong team of high calibre members to meet the challenges of future General Practice. Our practice still seeks to maintain a very high standard of care to all patients and families registered with us in our community and we also appreciate the support that you, our patients, give to us.
With best wishes to you all,
