What a difference a month makes! David Miller of the Wharf Stream Team supplied the pictures below, taken 30 March 2012 (drought) and 30 April 2012 (flood).
David Miller says:
“I hope you like our attempt at hedging and will appreciate the reduction of the size of the island and consequent doubling of the water area, to the whole width of the bridge. Making the whole of the waterfall visible and effective in oxygenating the stream for fish.
“And I found lots of fish eggs attached to stones near the bridge ... an ideal spawning area now ... and they have hatched.”
